2007 Update
Wow, it's been awhile since my last post. The coolest things that happened and that come to my head right off the bat are my brother's engagement, yep that's right! Yea!! My vote is for a destination wedding. I'm all for that. Maybe I can influence them to think about doing it in Belize. Ohhhh, ahhhh. As far as I know, they are tentatively thinking about the end of 2007. The other cool thing is that I am now bar tending. Very cool, I've always wanted to bar tend, don't ask me why I just do. One of the owners has asked me to start up a Salsa night there on Tuesdays, because of my salsa connections. So, it's happening and set to start in a couple weeks.

One of my brilliant friends is out there yet again to do good in the world. I'm proud to be one of her many supporters and fans, and encourage everyone to join in to this great cause. If you'd like to donate or for more info, click on the banner below.
Spring 2007 - We are off in April 2007 with a team of two doctors, one trauma nurse, and eight medical students to Ddegeya Village, Uganda, to bring health care to the region for the first time ever. It promises to be a profoundly rewarding, life-changing experience for us and the villagers, and we're so excited! Our fund raising goal is $20,000, much of which is for one-time-only expenditures - the essential infrastructure of our clinic - examination beds, curtains, medicine cabinets, office equipment, and the like.
In addition to providing urgently-needed medical care to the villagers in and around Ddegeya, we will be conducting needs-assessment studies to ensure we understand the priorities of the villagers' needs and are most responsible in our efforts.
We want to turn our compassion into action but will not be able to meet our goal without your help. Your contribution will be making a direct, tangible, immediate difference to the deserving villagers in this remote area of Uganda.

Race for the Cure
The fun little 5K was this morning and I just wanted to give a shout of thanks to all my homies who donated.
It was great fun, and we got lots of free propel water (which I'm a big fan of, because their commercials make me want to get up and play tennis, like home chick who bounces out of the drop of water and kicks a wicked serve)
Speaking of commercials this one is by far my favorite at the moment. I have to laugh everytime I see it. (Is it me or are commercials becoming more entertaining and less of a drag?)
