Public Transportation

This is my official review of our public transportation...Mediocre at best, but I think the only reason I say this is because of the horrendous ride on the Metrolink. I rode it from Riverside to Los Angeles, and it took a whopping 1 1/2 hours....dammit that's a long ride for such a short distance. I swear there were many points where I think if I got out and ran alongside the train, I'd be going faster. The Metro, or subway, was actually not bad at all. The Amtrak, well..The Amtrak is quite nice actually, except you have to catch it on a day where they aren't making track adjustments, otherwise they'll bus you to where you need to go. Also the view from the train is not bad. Overall, I say next time if you need to use public transportation go straight from Amtrak to the metro, and avoid the metrolink at all costs. Oh yea...I forgot to mention the prices. $56 rt from San Diego to LA, and some change for the metro. I'd say it's worth taking if you're riding by yourself, to avoid traffic and it's pretty much the same price as gas. But if you're carpooling then definitely the car. Take advantage of shared gas, and HOV lanes. Ok, that's all....(music slowly begins to play) this special announcement, brought to you by AHE Mortgage. Feelin' Rebelious

I decided to play hookie today...didn't feel it was necessary to drive all the way into work to make one phone call. Ah sue me! I could do that just fine from the comfort of my couch in me boxers eh?

Tracing the genetic journey of my ancestors

Whoa! This is too cool for school!! I'm sending my swab in right away.

National Geographic has a new project called "Your Genetic Journey", and it is so badass. Apparently they can now give you a map of your ancestral journey. So f@*!ing cool, now I can see exactly how many parts there are to me. This is exciting. You've no idea how many times I'm told, I don't look Chinese. Which is weird to me, because that's the only thing I think I could pass for. But who knows....We shall soon find out.

Take a gander here if you have some time.

Some more exciting news....it's about time, I've been itching to get away for a bit. I leave for Miami tomorrow, which has turned out to be an annual trip to the tee. I was there the same time last year. I can't wait to see my friends!
