Varablanca, Costa Rica

Merry Christmas! Hope yours was as joyful as mine...Today we went to the La Paz Waterfall Gardens, and oh me oh my que magnifico! Never seen so many bright colors on mariposas, ranas, colibris, y orquidias. Everything was amazingly lush and green, which made the colorful flora and fauna stick out like a beautiful sore thumb =). I´ll let the pictures do the talking for me today...though I don´t think they do the colors and scenery justice. Afterwards, we were starving and stopped for some good food, where Sandra and I left a legacy to hopefully return to.

Tibas, Costa Rica

Hey all,

I made it, and so far it´s been fantabulous...well, excluding the long ass plane ride. It makes no sense at all that we had to connect in Atlanta to come to Costa Rica....Yea, so we did a little backtracking. Plus everyone on the fricken plane was either sniffling or coughing up their lung. So I made sure to pop my airbournes every four hours...uh huh, no way I´m gettin´sick on this trip. My last complaint w
ould have to be that the breath of the elderly man sittin´ next to me was kickin´! I felt like the girl on the listerine breath strips commercial...you know the one where the girl slips him one in his sleep...shoulda done it. Damn. Too chicken.

La familia de Sandra es tan simpatico!! Y su tia hablando solo en español a mi, para practicamos mi español. Pero es muy dificil para mi porque ellos ha
blan muy rapido. (Sandra is reading my spanish and says that I could use some help with my wording..lol!) =) We had a home cooked breakfast in the mornin´ before headin out to Volcan Poas, and definately got lucky...the clouds decided to part ways with the volcano right as we reached the top so we were able to see everything nice and clearly.

Pero, aye Dios mios! Es
muy stinky! Ah yes, nothing like the wonderful smell of sulfur in the mornin´to wake you up. Sandra drove back to the house to give tia a rest. Good job Sonnie, cause the roads here are no joke and the drivers definately don´t help (and apparently the city is having a strike and the garbage hasn´t been picked up in awhile..yikes). There was a short rest at the house before we were out again to do some last minute shopping and currency exchange. Then it was back home for a nice family style dinner. We´re spoiled!

Mr West's Show

Kanye West concert tickets....$60
Gasoline to drive to LA.....$40
Dinner & Drinks....$70
Watchin' Chuck dance so hard at the after party, he busted some chick's toenail open (to the pt where the nail cracked in half and blood gushed out).....Priceless. Damn Chuck...You must have been doin' the most to be able to do that. I don't think I'd be able to bust open a toenail if I tried! Ha! Poor girl...Though she took it relatively well. I'd have been pis
sed.

It was a great show, and I've never met so many stars all at once
....Super cool. The list goes; Common (yes, ladies he's as handsome in real life), Mr West himself, all of his family, and "the man", Quentin Tarantino!! Nice. Also bumped into Tyrese, and Sean da Paul at the after party. The party was cool, but I'm definitely not "Hollywood". Just wanted to melt into the background and people watch. Kinda like watching E-television live. Special thanks to Chuck, Alexis and Ashante for a kick ass night, and the VIP hook-up. =)

Congested...

Mood: Congested --> where you're angry, irritable and feel as if you can do nothing...kinda the same feelin' you get while sitting in traffic.

Woke up this morning, and while watching the morning weather and it's ever present hurricane warnings (in DEC.???) I realized that the earth has come upon the time to cleanse itself (optimistic) or, is starting it's spiraling decent for the worst (pessimistic). We have officially peed on mother earth, and she can't take anymore. Looking back on the year and the ridiculous amounts of Natural disaster or disaters in general, killing people in the thousands. I'm still awe struck, and am convinced that she is angry with the way we pay her no disregard.

As I leave for work, I'm in a depressed state. Feelin' maybe I've connected with the universal mood. When I get to work, I encounter only incompetent third parties, which fuels the fire and am ready to pull out my hair, and it's only 11:30am! Think good thoughts for me guys...something has to balance out the negativity. I gotta keep lookin' forward to the good stuff, like tonight's Christmas party with BJ and this weekend's Kanye West concert. It's not workin' just yet, but hopefully it'll kick in soon.
