Double dog dare you

I went to the desert this weekend to get some sun into my skin. Ahhhh, so refreshing. I tell you this just seals the deal that I was a lizard in my past life. If any part of my skin touches the rays of the sun, it's over, that's it. I'm stuck with my head slightly raised and chin slightly tilted towards the sun, as if that extra centimeter aids in receiving greater amounts of UV rays. One of my favorite feelings...Soaking up the warmth. A cool 70 degrees set the mood for a nice hike to the abandoned gold mine on Lost Horse Mine Trail in Joshua Tree. On the way there we stop at a desert garden, where all around there are these amazingly spiky cacti around you. They've been nicknamed "huggy-bear cactus" or something like that. Very ironical as you can see from the picture.
You do not want to hug
any part of this plant. This is where the double dog dare comes into play. The challenge was extended and declined by Dominique. So I extend the challenge to you guys. If you're ever in the area....I double dog dare you to pull a fear factor event and run through the field of cacti with out becoming a porcupine.
This old mine pumped out 9000 ounces of gold once upon a time!
