I Love San Diego!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

On another note...I heard a funny and yet disturbing story today, from a good friend. (I will keep her idenity a secret for...reasons.) I've never heard of such dedication...there is a girl that has been a bank teller for 26 friggen years. For all of you who don't know, when I was a teller (for 6 months) I made a whopping $10 an hour. Hey, don't be too quick to judge. I know that life is not all about the bling, but you just cannot live off that kind of paycheck. That's $2100 a month! The average rent in San Diego is ~$1236! That's just somewhere to live, I haven't even mentioned food, electricity and all the other necessities. And honestly, can you see yourself content being a teller for the rest of your life? I mean, have you no drive to do better? You simply just can't live happily eking by every month. Am I being retardedly callous?

She should've taken that quiz below.

Ha! Was that also retardedly callous?!

Ambition is a double-edged sword. You may get what you want, but you are inherently discontent along the way. Plus those of us who are ambitious put such high value on personal achievement through work...and I don't think that's universal.

Maybe this chick is a bank teller by day, superhero by night...

Ms. Cheese....dammit! you are quite the positive one. Teach me your ways, as well as vocabulary & sentence structure. You've inspired me to use at least one new edumacated word a day. I will keep track with points in parenthesis, keep any eye out for it. ;)

Kay, enough being a jackass, on a more sincere note... have you thought about being published? You truly have a way with the english language. I find myself eagerly awaiting your next post on a daily basis. I can't stop...this shizzle is addictive!

Should I email her the link to the quiz pseudonymously. (1pt for me...yea!)

maybe she just likes counting money... if that were my absolute favorite thing to do, being a teller would be my dream job... to each his own, i guess haha

Hey whatever floats your boat....as long as you know that if you' re a bank employee, ya can count all you want but ya can't take it with you. Ha! Plus nowadays you don't even count the money, the machines do it for you.

It's one thing to be great at what you do and to want to stick with and master your craft, but this sense of latency is incredibly disturbing on sooo many levels!! Was she put on this earth to be a super teller? Is that her mission in life? Did divine intervention come into play to shape her existence? I think (and I could be going out on a limb here) that she's probably some type of bank attraction like the bearded lady at the circus! I think that everyday she does something different. For example: Monday - performs transactions with her hands tied behind her back. Tuesday - mind control, she knows what the customer wants to do without them saying a word. Wednesday - she prints receipts from her mouth. Thursday - levetation and for the grand finale, Friday - all of the above!!!
