Las Ramblas, Barcelona
Today definitely made up for the crazy ass, long winded, 6 connecting flight, journey to get here. Short summary so far. Start pt: San Diego --> LAX --> Canada --> Amsterdam --> London --> Barcelona, phew. Landed, met up with Mike and Misty at the hotel, took a short nap, went to Las Ramblas for some good grubbin, saw a Opera/Flamenco show at a school equivalent to Julliard (I'm told), back to the hotel for some much need time zone adjusting sleep, parted ways with Mike in the mornin', checked into another hotel, Casa Camper (awesome hotel...Highly recommend it) and headed off to Mar Bella for some fun in the sun (nice scenery =)). After a nice long day of people watching, we went back to Casa camper and met Brian. Next we explored a little, wandering the streets of Las Ramblas, and happened upon a place called "4 Gatas"...Looked like a hole, but inside past the tapas area was a huge extravagant dining area, which turns out to be famous for feeding Picasso in return for a sketches on napkins. Sweet! On the way back to the hotel, we did a little more window shopping, and took a short tour through the erotica museum. Ha! Hilarious. The best part of these past few days, is a toss up...But the unexpected naked male flamenco dancer definitely adds another side to Barcelona. I'll keep you posted...
