Tibas, Costa Rica

Hey all,

I made it, and so far it´s been fantabulous...well, excluding the long ass plane ride. It makes no sense at all that we had to connect in Atlanta to come to Costa Rica....Yea, so we did a little backtracking. Plus everyone on the fricken plane was either sniffling or coughing up their lung. So I made sure to pop my airbournes every four hours...uh huh, no way I´m gettin´sick on this trip. My last complaint w
ould have to be that the breath of the elderly man sittin´ next to me was kickin´! I felt like the girl on the listerine breath strips commercial...you know the one where the girl slips him one in his sleep...shoulda done it. Damn. Too chicken.

La familia de Sandra es tan simpatico!! Y su tia hablando solo en español a mi, para practicamos mi español. Pero es muy dificil para mi porque ellos ha
blan muy rapido. (Sandra is reading my spanish and says that I could use some help with my wording..lol!) =) We had a home cooked breakfast in the mornin´ before headin out to Volcan Poas, and definately got lucky...the clouds decided to part ways with the volcano right as we reached the top so we were able to see everything nice and clearly.

Pero, aye Dios mios! Es
muy stinky! Ah yes, nothing like the wonderful smell of sulfur in the mornin´to wake you up. Sandra drove back to the house to give tia a rest. Good job Sonnie, cause the roads here are no joke and the drivers definately don´t help (and apparently the city is having a strike and the garbage hasn´t been picked up in awhile..yikes). There was a short rest at the house before we were out again to do some last minute shopping and currency exchange. Then it was back home for a nice family style dinner. We´re spoiled!

Actually it wasn't a helmet cam...it was our guide holding onto Sandra's camera and filming for us. =) Good thing he didn't drop it
